The effective executive It’s about the knowledge worker but you can ofc also take lessons for other business or fitness areas. Imo, for most people priorities & avoiding what is unproductive has the biggest impact these days - bc there is so much noise and so many things that you could take on with little impact on the results.

One interesting part is also about organizations where individuals seemingly get the most value from others within the org - usually from other departments (I.e. friction) - to do their job. However this puts their focus on the inner workings of the org instead of focusing on the customer, consumer who is ultimately responsible for revenues & profits. I remember how I worked on internal docs and had to wait for certain info from others in the org to get a job done - that ultimately had very little to do with making the business better. Ps: This take in the book about the „mechanical moron“ seems pretty antiquated today 😂 Never has there been more data available from the outside, collected & used to make great data-driven decisions. And obv with AI this knowledge gathering and decision-making has/is improved another 10x. 👉🏻 many orgs still operate ineffectively. Maybe using AI for note taking, sharing, accessing could reduce friction a lot and let info flow much faster within orgs.
