If I can boil what I learned from my grandma down to one thing in the end it's being able to feel like you can die happy every day.

All prayers, gratefulness, resourcefulness, loving each other and being positive but also being formal, nice and respectful in the end all makes you live a life that you can just die happy each day.

All of the above in the end I'd say is managing your own expectations and perspective.

It took me a while to get over my grandma saying she would be happy to die, but after a while I realised it's the best thing she can say. She's genuinely happy. It's something I then thought about how I can get there and I'd say I am there. it's an interesting place to be and honestly feels way better then one may think from hearing someone is happy to die.

It's more like having no regret than wanting to die if that makes sense.

I was confronted with death one time, normally I was supposed to get scared and do whatever it takes to avoid it but instead I made peace with the situation. 

Something changed in me ever since and that's the power to look death in the face and say, "I am not scared of you"

It's a different dimension of peace tbh.
