This year I built and scaled triviabase. I was the full stack developer at TriviaBase, it all started From the Base Buildathon Africa to iterating on user feedback, building TriviaBase was really an exciting experience. TriviaBase was the first product I built onchain and together with my amazing team, we scaled it to over 1,000+ users across 5 major events and 7 webinars. Through TriviaBase, we showcased the power of the Base ecosystem to developers and participants at events, highlighting the endless possibilities of building on-chain. We go harder 2025

This year, I built âś… Base Africa Sub-Community(Edo Chapter): I created a sub-community for Base Africa(co-assisting @theboiledcorn and @abelosaretin.eth ), which now has 190 members. We onboarded these members to Base(@base )and have hosted various sessions to enhance their understanding of Base and web3 in general. We also provided resources to help them grasp the fundamentals of web3, blockchain technology, and Base specifically. âś… Content Creation: Through writing, I have onboarded individuals to the Base ecosystem. I also organized a writing class for community members, wrote articles about Base, introduced writers to on-chain writing tools, and supported writers by reviewing their work within the Base Africa telegram community. âś… Base Learn: I have been actively expanding my knowledge and gaining hands-on experience with smart contract development using the Base Learn documentation.

✅ Buildathon Participation: I contributed my writing skills to my team in building "Devote," an on-chain voting system for the Base buildathon. Additionally, I assisted community members by answering questions and providing necessary information throughout the buildathon period. This year I built A series of impactful contributions to the @base ecosystem, but the highlight of my work was my in-depth thread on the token launch mechanisms of @larrybot and @clanker. This thread offered actionable insights into their unique strategies and helped users make smarter decisions in the web3 space. I take immense pride in this because it wasn’t just content—it was a catalyst for engagement, education, and innovation within the ecosystem. Alongside this, I designed a Christmas-themed logo for BOLIDE and a new cover for BIRBAL THE GENIUS, proving the power of mobile design tools, and participated in calls hosted by @jackofweb3, where I explored and shared opportunities within the web3 space. Together, these efforts shaped a year of creativity, learning, and community-driven impact.

A good documentation retains users while a bad one frustrates users and drives them away. We should normalize prioritizing technical writers at the early stages of developing a product, just as we prioritize developers and product designers. I have seen so many new products out there with poor documentation due to not having technical writers in the team. Involving technical writers early in the development cycle will save you a whole lot of stress in getting new users to understand your product.
