I’m also having second thoughts about creators tokenizing everything they create. Yes, tokenization introduces a new monetization model where you can earn money, instead of just collecting vanity ā€˜likes’ on Web2 social media. It gives followers a chance to have skin in the game and potentially profit if they’re early. But this model has a high chance of leading to tons of slop being created, drowning out the content that actually matters. I’m increasingly realizing that hyper-monetization strips away the conversational nature of social media, and its true impact ends up being tied to how much monetary value it generates. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for creators finding ways to earn from what they do best. But crypto often turns everything into value extraction, and I see that happening here too. It could push away real creators, who may no longer see this as an opportunity. We need to figure out how to break this vicious cycle. Again, this is a dilemma and I am trying to learn more.

Streaming payments To offer a creator direct payment from their audience is huge, especially without needing to set up a gatekeeper platform like Patreon. This by passes all token dilemmas and brings creators on chain. Allow the content to then be tokenised as price will be set on the yield the token offers and not just speculation

Yes, streaming payments fit the narrative perfectly. I don't have any qualms with that. It is more to do with aftereffects of tokenising every content produced.
