Can anyone recommend any books, essays, podcasts, etc that make the best case for why humanity needs AGI/ASI? Why isn't narrow-intelligence AI good enough? Why go the next step to create intelligence more powerful than us?

Traders don’t follow accounts so they can learn how to trade, they want to be told when to get in and get out. People covet the reward but want to outsource the thinking.
