Airdrops are broken... But we can fix them 🪂

Traditional airdrops are often plagued by farmers and low-quality users, that will dump tokens immediately after receiving them. This results in rewards going to people who contribute little to the ecosystem, undermining the very purpose of airdrops.

But what if we could change this? What if airdrops were based on something more meaningful than just a wallet address? Thanks to @TalentProtocol, we now have a way to fix this problem by leveraging reputation as a measure for reward distribution.

Fair and Inclusive Rewards
By segmenting users based on both onchain and offchain activity, protocols can ensure fairer, more efficient airdrop distribution. This approach rewards the top onchain builders, who are often the most engaged users and likely to provide valuable feedback and long-term support for the protocol.

This week I built this article and diagram on how the onchain space can improve the actual airdrops by using user segmentation models based on reputation.
