fyi, im seeing some weird activity in automod. i was having trouble the other day with my rule bc it was putting people in cooldown for replies even though i had it set to root level only so i turned it off entirely, but today logs are goin off even with rule disabled and most have timestamp of 5/17/2024, 2:44:13 PM

I’ll take a look. For the second one, if a user is in cooldown they’ll serve the duration of the cooldown even if the rule is now off. If you want to end it, go to the moderation log, and hit End Cooldown in the context menu (right side, 3 small dots)

I'm not 100% sure when I turned it off tbh. I turned it off bc it was hiding replies when a person was in cooldown even though the rule was setup to only run on root casts, not all. but i wanted to verify it wasn't my config. the person who reported said they noticed issues in other channels. Timestamps def odd

yeah, the rule *creates* a cooldown based on the root cast. Once a user is in cooldown, it effects all their casts in your channel, root or reply. Those logs are hiding because the user is still in cooldown. On the right side you can end it. Do you want me to end all cooldowns for your channel?

i'd appreciate that until my dumb a$$ figures out how to use this. sorry. is there a way to turn on cooldown only for root casts? the premise is one cast per day (roughly) but encourage replies. i still don't understand the timestamps/logs all firing at the exact same second. but if you do, great. 25 $degen

> timestamps That’s when automod processed the casts, it processes 200 casts at once. You can see in the log message when the cooldown ends.
