/automod ships this week! ♜ A v0 of a proper automod.sh home page ♜ Automod is finally off of sqlite and on postgres. I took a shortcut using sqlite when I built the mvp for automod. I thought migrating would be straight forward if it got traction but it wasn't. It required carefully handling timestamps, ids, fkeys and more. SQLite is being used more in production with Cloudflare D1 and LiteFS but I moved off because: - no json cols - lack of ecosystem for insights, tools, integrations - need to setup your own server to access remote - no postgres extensions like timeseries_db - no gin indexes for search etc. - don't want to fuck with experimental sqlite clustering Now that I'm off that, automod can properly scale out instead of just up. It reduced infra costs by $75 usd / mo. ♜ Billing improvements. Automod will send you a dc when you're approaching usage thresholds. It will also actually downgrade your account now if your sub expires and I switched over to the new hypersub v2 contracts.
