has anyone here actually used AND benefitted from a financial advisor?

my assumption is that most times you're better off with a roboadvisor or parking in total stock market index funds

When I didn’t know much, made a bit of money with stock and was afraid to make a mistake a fiduciary was helpful.

We put money in funds. Standard lazy portfolio. But there were some tax strategies for equity (ISO, NQ, RSU) and general advice in how to think about money, saving and selling that was helpful.

I ended it after 2y.
