What are your takeaways from the issuance discussion that’s been happening on Twitter?

I work for Ethereum at the Ethereum Foundation.

It seems very difficult for people to see the big picture, they're focused on the here and now and the desire for Ethereum to go mainstream quickly even if it means glossing over weakness. These discussions would be so much easier if we hadn't already reached this level of success 😂

My tldr of it is the research is sound and there is a good case to be made for issuance reduction but any change to issuance needs to be thoroughly vetted and discussed extensively by the community and therefore needs more time to bake

My biggest takeaway has been that there’s still a lot of care taken to encourage solo stakers. Glad to see it.
