The call from the CT community for a change in leadership is very loud. Have you taken notice of that and, if yes, to what kind of internal debate and action has that lead?

as @vitalik.eth wrote about here, change in leadership has been planned / under discussion for many months. And yes, we read twitter :)

Ok, perhaps I should’ve posted a more elaborate question. You read twitter of course. How does the current debate on CT shape the internal leadership debate? Do community voices have a weight in that debate and to what extent? To what extent does the call for a change in leadership, and more specific the concerns such as: pivot to more winner driven leadership style, more ecosystem requested priorities, weigh in the internal debate? My question comes from the feeling that we shout very loudly, but don’t get the feedback of being heard, being understood. As someone that’s been passionate about Ethereum starting at ‘Frontier’, this is painful and makes me anxious.

I mean, feedback and ideas like from @iamdcinvestor are very valuable, based on years of org design experience in global corporate orgs. Does the EF value input like this and if so, how does it shape the discussion and decisions? https://x.com/iamdcinvestor/status/1881683735201919203?s=46

I've had many long conversations with DC over the years, and most of the feedback / ideas I've seen shared online are not new information. Some of it I even agree with, for instance I think we can and should do much more in the comms domain (it is a big domain). But the EF isn't exactly like other organizations, because there has never been something like Ethereum before. That also means that our threat environment is radically different from other orgs, something that very few people seem to think carefully about when reasoning through what the EF should be and how it should behave.

I guess my main point going forward would be: ‘Show that you’ve heard and understand the community.’ It seems that many see you as being out of touch and occupied with things that are unaligned with how they see ethereum would win. What’s your strategy for winning?

Thank you for your reply. I understand and am sympathetic to this. I can also appreciate that EF doesn’t cater to financial applications only and has a radical (and for many unclear) horizon to work towards. It would be great to have more insight into all of this, but I also don’t want the EF to spend too much resources on explaining itself. Perhaps some follow up questions are: 1. to what extent do you agree with the CT criticism that Ethereum needs to move faster? 2. Have more technical oriented leadership? 3. Deliver more on the needs of the stakeholders within the current ecosystem? 4. Where have you dropped the ball? 5. When and how are you going to pick up that ball? I know it’s a lot of questions, but hey, you said AMA right? 😬😉
