Where can I share additional context / thinking?

The amount of effort to write a frame is pretty small, but the amount of effort to make it embeddable is unreasonably higher and non-intuitively complex for someone wanting to just experiment with frames - and, because embedded frames are the better delivery mechanism, that kind of makes frames an unjustifiable investment for hobby devs.

I tried my first frame today, and the experience could be better - submitted a PR to improve the "getting started" guide, but embedded frames are a non-starter for hobby devs.

Trying to get a frame preview to show up in the playground (attached example screenshot of my frame not serving the necessary information).

The doc the link takes me to starts out pretty straight-forward, with the fc:frame tag, but the lift to provide the manifest requires a lot of cross-documentation stitching and leaves me constantly asking myself why this is necessary - i.e., why is this worth the time to do if I'm just wanting to play around with Farcaster frames?

And perhaps hobby devs isn't the target audience for this - maybe it's meant for people wanting to do something "serious" with frames?
