Did you know: - You can install and run IPFS with just `brew install ipfs && ipfs daemon` - Visit webui.ipfs.io to view your local IPFS node stats - Explore the Apollo archives totally p2p You can just use IPFS

I've been toying with the idea of running a node, but I am struggling to figure out what I would do with it. I think it's helpful to support the network, but my understanding is that I'd need to go out and find things to pin to really contribute to the network - and that seems like a lot of effort that I could spend on other things.

I think it’s best to pin what you value, and that’s the true power of IPFS. It doesn’t bullshit permanence and the promise of forever. It only keeps content that people value and prunes the rest. So what you pin depends on what you value and want to persist. For me it’s NFTs I own, important whitepapers, websites, etc. With that said @deanpierce.eth had the idea of using Farcaster to create social pinning, where you can automatically pin CIDs that other people in your social graph post which is a sick idea. Might be something @vrypan.eth is already working on :) Are there other mechanisms you would be open to? Perhaps IPFS pinning starter packs you can just copy and paste into your shell to pin?
