to me, the question isn't why would these users join farcaster, it's what client would maintain its quality if they do? or, more generally, what is the future of social network apps? breaking up app monopolies for smaller, niche networks seems powerful, but can't the big players create that ux for premium subs, too?

My view is that numerous dapps will pop up. Then aggregators will combine offerings, eventually some of these dapps will cease to exist, while stronger ones will expand organically or inorganically; eventually creating a few super dapps. Zora will be among the winners⚪️

that makes sense i don't use aggregators much so i don't know how it plays out don't aggregators create the same problem of navigation and discovery? in other words, only the top dapps get noticed unless there are really good recommendation engines?

Aggregator should eliminate or at least reduce the discovery process. Eg; a few apps providing swap, an aggregator should compare rates and recommend the best seamlessly for user What I envisage in de-so is aggregator will become relayer aka recommendation engines. Client builder will focus on UIUX experience👇🏻

The flow would eventually be : Client app <- Aggregator / Relayer <- Many Providers <- Data or Source An aggregator or relayer can serve multiple clients app. Then at some point, one part can grow organically or inorganically to fulfil the chain on its own, this entity is then likely to emerge as super dapp

that sounds like a great idea is anyone working on the aggregator right now? (other than airstack + neynar, which i see as more at the data layer)
