Coding AI wars heating up again this week, should get interesting!

Ben De Kraker, an xAI developer, was told to delete the post where he ranked best AI's for coding. He kept it and resigned.

Elon comes out swinging as usual saying Grok 3 is the Smartest AI on Earth and rolls out Monday.

for coding, claude 3.5 sonnet is infinitely better than any openai model, imo

cool, will check that out

and tbh anthropic is really expensive to use in cursor

i've heard the same quite frequently, but haven't tried GPT 01-pro

the consensus seems to be a combo of R1 (for low cost) + 3.5 sonnet + cursor = sweet spot

here to say the same, coding with clause is smoother

the other ones include some silly bugs, you always have to insist to build some missing parts or rebuild other allucinated ones.. and it is fine when I know what I am doing but when it is something a bit more abstract..
