“Vibe coding” is absolutely the future. That said, it’s not as easy as it seems at first:

1. The jump from a front end w/dummy data -> dynamic API integrations and persistent data is huge.

2. Deployment is more complicated than clicking a button.

3. Backend vibe coding is a different ballgame entirely. Especially with more complicated builds with numerous dependencies.

4. The code will break and debugging via vibe coding is a never ending pit.

The pod is good but I think Alexis is too far removed from building things to have a reasonable opinion. Levels seems like a top 0.1% engineer and right now vibe coding is a 1000x multiple for people like that. It's a useful prototyping tool for everyone else

I've seen what top tier engineers can do with AI and it justifies the hype. I've also seen it used by people who don't know what they're doing and it justifies the hype but in a much different way
