Entrenched cultural normatives. Going beyond general conservatism, growing up in a post-communist Bohemia I witness the fear of speaking up against injustice in the generation of my parents (who partly passed this over to my generation) still over 30 years after the democratic state was reestablished. Sturdy wall.
