A few months ago I inaugurated a 'micro-community space' in the front of my house. A social experiment that relies on trust as a way to #regen(erate) the social fabric of my neighborhood. The instructions are simple: 1.- Leave more than you take. 2.- Protect this space. 3.- Don't make us add more rules. My hope is that books, clothing, tools, food, etc. can be exchanged (24/7 in a self-managed manner) from a sense of solidarity; demonstrating the abundance that exists when we all contribute what we have left over. What would happen if more facades in our city enabled dynamics like this? What would we discover about people if we dared to trust a little more?
