Joint ventures and revenue sharing models are criminally under utilized. The incredible works of private infrastructure are almost always joint ventures with revenue sharing in some way, and yet in tech the concepts seem to be almost entirely absent

I’m a bit lost between the difference between joint ventures and venture capitalists. Why do you encourage joint ventures?

I can’t say I’ve seen small business JVs but there’s nothing that precludes them from doing such things. Most of the time I’ve seen these in larger scale opportunities though

A lot of energy infrastructure, pick an installation and it’s probably a JV. The first specific one that comes to mind is the Transalta power plant in central Washington which, if I remember correctly, was a 3 party JV and multinational
