It is a nightmare to get rid of once minted art, especially ERC721 on Ethereum. You cannot really "burn" it but gotta do other things to make them disappear, and then they are still there... the token does not go away. I am personally not a big fan of burning and reminting... 222 $DEGEN

I'd really ask around... a minted ERC721 token is there... you can just "move" it to the burn address, so on OpenSea it is still visible, but the owner is the burn address. Some people change the metadata before burning like replacing the image with a black image. Still: then there is a black image token in your created tab with the burn address as the holder. On editions like ERC1155, you can reduce supply. So if you have an edition of 10, only 2 sold, you can reduce the max from 10 to 2, so a 10/10 is a 2/2. But minted tokens are minted tokens. We are on the blockchain, they do not really disappear. Ask around in groups how they did it IF they went through something like that, and learn from more voices than just mine...
