What if a brand isn't something you create, but something you uncover? Like how a sculptor doesn't create the statue, but reveals what was already in the marble. That feeling when something just works, not because it's pretty, but because it just feels like muscle memory. Like something deep familiar that just needed to be surfaced. My approach to design lies here - removing what isn’t essential to show what's always been true.

a passage that lives rent-free in my mind is that "design and the profession of the designer must transform from a specialist function pushing pixels into a universal attitude of resourcefulness and inventiveness". it such a pleasure to learn about all the different ways @victoctero finds himself through design, whether he's brewing bear, making mycelium leather, or crafting brand identities. thank you so much for sharing your story with the Design Cabal 💚

happy international women’s day it’s freaking hard to be a woman in this space. so for today, i’d like to highlight something i’ve heard a lot in web3 and tech in general men love to tell me about their female idols. but when i ask them why they look up to these women, they only list things that are typically seen as masculine qualities: > they can hang/keep up with the boys > they never show emotion or “weakness” > they never “make a big deal” about things/are not high maintenance > they never talk about the difficulties women face, they just keep going and never complain i’d love to see women being celebrated more for being the people they are, not the masculine qualities they possess ladies, would love to see you drop a line on your favourite thing about yourself that makes you feel like you ❤️‍🔥 *we all hold masculine and feminine traits within ourselves, but i think we need to celebrate softness and emotion much more often

i wish web3 was known for its peer to peer culture more than the casino one. as a brand builder, i also love to learn about peoples crypto origin stories and the amount of times a friend or community was the reason someone stayed is incredibly common.

seeing all this red on the timeline made me think about this gem i'd bookmarked a while ago: https://youtu.be/gMqZR3pqMjg?si=lI0CjKYTmoSANX0C did you know... most cultures develop color categories in about the same order? first is black and white, and then, universally, red is the first color that is identified. it's one of the most distinctive and universal colors, full stop.
