I wonder how "generation" and "rooftop solar" are defined. Both are generators, maybe utility scale versus c&i/residential? I think m3tering fits in generation and consumption.

yeah that's what I was thinking too, but more like generation focuses on exporting it's power while rooftop solar is more like "prosumer".

The endgame for m3tering would eventually span across all subcategories defined here. the idea of "metering" energy flows across infrastructure would allow many types of "bilateral contracts" to exist between parties providing this infra. Contracts that all live onchain.
