Ah, but what about the inverse effect? Ex. Drinking fine imported beer, wine, and spirits used to be a sign of status. Ex. "The Most Interesting Man" Now, with "Virtue Signalling," we see the opposite. A lack of substances partook is becoming a status symbol for more influential ppl. https://i.imgur.com/2uiQQFq.jpg

There are fine beer makers in my area that are now catering to this, and selling out. NA Dark Beer flies off the shelves as fast as it can be stocked. Is this because we want to conform to the new status symbol, or was it an underlying preference that was now made "ok" by the shift in narrative?
