Now of course, you could not send those changed files "back in time". The websites historical copies would not change.

Sure! No need to reupload an entire site each time - you can just upload your changed files, say a new image or updated index.html, then create a new manifest which references those new files and all of the existing unchanged files and then maps them all together relative to each other (like filepaths). You can use ArDrive for that, super easy!

Drafted a new article the other day to elaborate on the vision of AR.IO Network being used as a "time machine": https://jonniesparkles.ar.io/articles/building-a-rewindable-internet-with-arns.html

The ar.io docs (docs.ar.io) are also similarly formatted (and OSS) if you wanted other examples.

I don't have specific experience here but a manifest is always the way! Not sure if youre a visual person like me but ArDrive just released an "import manifest" feature so you should theoretically be able to import the ArWiki manifest to "see" how its structured.

Arweave eco tends to be more active on Twitter and Discord than here. I'll give it some thought and get back to you! We're launching ar.io mainnet today so a bit scatter brained prepping for that. Would love your support!

Very insightful posts - you should share this with the broader community for feedback! I wish I was technical enough to give it a more thoughtful reply but I will share with the team as well. Curious for their take. You have to do what is best for your project and regardless of your decision, I wish you the best :)

This is not helpful but the one gotcha I learned if hosting from Arweave is youve gotta double deploy so that your final version references the original's TXID in the Frame metadata. You also need to hardcode the gateway, eg arweave.net
