where are the leaves best in the western half of the U.S. right now? thinking about a solo road trip and i miss the colors of fall

I usually follow this interactive map for updates. I usually target my fall's in the Eastern Sierra mountains around Bishop/Mammoth. Reports are looking spotty right now. Areas around Bishop creek look nice, and some of the higher elevations around 9-10k feet are already starting to peak while there are still areas just starting.

I'll be in Asia this year for Fall so my focus is elsewhere at the moment 😆
