I remember travelling with my fishing gear. Probably $5k worth, between NYC and wherever I was fishing at the time. I had to check that rolling duffle every trip and every time I was sweating that my gear reached my destination with me. I do remember returning from Miami after a fishing trip and my gear was missing. Luckily it was delivered to my apartment 2-3 days later by the airline.
