I had been pursuing an image of the sun setting directly behind the Empire State Building for six months. This video captures the moment I finally obtained it on April 1st, 2019. Here I am standing next to that image at the Onishi Gallery in New York City, where it was exhibited in June and July 2019.

This is the original concept for the series, with the sun setting directly behind the Empire State Building creating a brilliant glow. I've edited this image many times. This version reflects my recent editing style and preferences.
