A passphrase is different than your PIN; it’s used with your seed to derive unique addresses. Available in Ledger’s settings. 

Store your passphrase separately. Consider leaving a small amt of BTC/ETH on the non-passphrase addys as a decoy in case you’re forced to give up your HW wallet + PIN in an armed robbery
