I'm deep down the rabbit hole of PKM (Personal Knowledge Management) with Obsidian and Readwise. I feel like I might finally conquer my anxiety from forgetting everything I read shortly after I read it.  Effective capture has always been my stumbling block.

i have a hunch that the most effective capture is speech: just speak then store somewhere, append-only log. haven't experimented with this tho

@pixel Agreed, using Siri shortcuts to append a daily log and then doing triage from there into more meaningful notes is the path I'm experimenting with. Most things I want to capture don't hit me when I'm in front of the computer. Reducing friction is the key ingredient I think.

I use Siri to do speech-to-text and reduce everything to text (or markdown in Obsidian) to get the content in. Voice is just the input method. I hate the sound of my voice so I don't want a bunch of recordings floating around in the cloud, lol..

True, I've thought of buying some kind of recorder, but phone might be good enough. How do you organize your speech logs?
