Order blocks are areas where institutional players place their large orders. This can be identified by a big move from a point that lead to a break of structure (BOS) on the opposing side. The origin of such rapid move is identified as order block (OB). The zones  often act as supports or resistances because there is high probability of a reversal at such zones. Order blocks are used in combination with order smart money concepts features like fair value gaps, liquidity raids before taking a trading decision.
