I feel like there’s ~ two parts to being creative: 1) coming up with all the ideas 2) focus in & select the idea It’s like filming a film, the first part is shooting the actors and getting footage. The second part is all editing The first part is finding out what you can be, the second part decides what you are

And ofc all of this makes sense in the context of a deadline. Limits (essentially rules to the game, a finite game) are what provides the limitations to the game so that you can shoot all the footage that you shoot, and you can decide what part of that is going to go out the door to tell your story - within the game

Imagine playing a game of basketball where are you don’t ever have a winner. The game goes on forever everyone has to play and keep playing no matter how many points you score - indefinitely. All the players involved have to play forever - this isn’t a game, this is a description of a punishment or a prison
