The birth of Impressionism was by a group on anons, who created their first showcase in Paris under the umbrella "Anonymous Society of Painters, Sculptors, Printmakers, Etc." This organization included Claude Monet, Renoir, Pissarro, Degas, among others. Their work was not accepted at the time.
