What is your biggest 'bet-on-self' move? me: quitting my Architecture job ( after 10 years of time and money spent on being one! ) I taught myself how to code while riding subway in nyc and during lunch breaks. Became good enough to get my first engineering job for 30k/yr and never looked back! It's been the 2nd best decision of my life ( no. 1 being marrying by bestie!)

After 10 years of meticulously crafting buildings as an architect, I found myself standing on shaky ground—trapped between a stable career and the nagging feeling that they were meant for something different Facing a 50% pay cut and an industry we didn’t fully understand, we leaped into the unknown, landing our first engineering job at $30k/year. What followed was a journey of reinvention, resilience, and ultimate freedom—proving that betting on yourself isn’t a gamble; it’s an investment.
