I hate Halloween... 😖 In the 70s here, there was always snow, and we lived in a rural place. We'd get the costume on and then have to ruin it with boots and coats and hats and mittens and shit. And THEN, we'd get driven around to dozens and dozens of houses FOR HOURS to play the "guessing game", even though everyone in the damn house knew who it was as soon as the car pulled in. 🙄 It was painful. "Oh!!! And who is THIS little monster?!?!", they'd say with glee. And I'd roll my little eyes behind the mask waiting for them to convince themselves I was just shy... If I could go back, I'm afraid I wouldn't do it much differently 😔

I was relieved when I was 12 that I wouldn't have to go anymore because we became Christians (cuz that stuff is of the devil and all that). But alas... my mother then informed me that we would still welcome trick or treaters, so now I get to be to one to pretend to gaf who the little monster is coming in looking for candy while their parent(s) sit out in the car waiting. It actually got worse... until the hot moment I finally lived on my own in University. I never went home again on October 31. 🤣 🤣 🤣 Then I finally went out on Halloween. I have a pic somewhere, might share it in a couple days, just for shiggles.
