Splitting power is not an effective way to lead an organization. You need a clear decision maker who can lead based on a unified vision. Sharing power leads to indecision and inefficiency The ED should report to the board, so there is no worry about them running amuck.

The reason that Ethereum has a low issuance rate is so that we can always be sure that node operators will "always" have an incentive to validate the chain. Unlike Bitcoin, where the security budget will one day rely on the volatility of fees, Ethereum will remain secure.

People significantly underestimate how fast ETH L2 transaction volume will grow. Imagine if this chart represented the cost to send a text or email. Actually, we know what cost compression did to texting. In 2005, it cost $0.20 to send a text and US users sent 81 billion texts

If someone else’s opinion about the market bothers you, that’s on you If you get even more mad when they flip bias again, that’s also on you That’s literally why they call it “trading” If you had to stick to 1 view always and never update, it would be something else

IMHO those calls for Ethereum needs "more marketing" do not understand the power and responsibilities given to the community by design, nor what role decentralization embodied in Ethereum may play in the techno-social fabric for the future of humans.

The S&P 500 finished the year up 25%. As the updated chart shows, great returns happen quite frequently. The stock market very rarely earns its 'average' return. Far more often, the return for any given year is far higher - or lower - than the target.

2024 was amazing, and we want to thank you all for playing a part in that. In 2024, we first conceived of the dGEN1 at ETH Denver, talked with manufacturers for months, had countless design and engineering meetings, and ultimately launched the pre-sale for our first custom

In this post, we analyzed the economic impact of based rollups using total anarchy. Our focus was on Taiko, the only active based rollup currently.

reflecting on o3 and the possibility that AI can in fact keep advancing from here at even more rapid pace i have to admit contemporary vibes increasingly feel like our business and political leaders are squabbling over how to preserve late-stage capitalism without recognition

Chaos! Opinions! Feelings and logic and discussion! I love it. For the nearly 2 years I've been at Polygon Labs I have hoped for something like this. Not this specific pre-PIP proposal, but for there to be a more non-Polygon Labs led discussions the community to engage in.

Nah these memes are becoming quite powerful LOL Tbh this is the type of militant propaganda I've been waiting for! Fwiw I think Jon is very intelligent, but this push back from the community is warranted and It's actually picking up steam. White blood cells at work.

Before anyone says "The UK/USA is worse!", that doesn't negate criticism towards another government. Also, I didn't see one response in the thread from people born and raised in the UAE. Just those who have temporarily or permanently moved there who the government caters to.

Nah. They might integrate for some for second order functionality, but social networks are about content generation, location and aggregation. None of that needs a blockchain.

Anyone ever use an online CNC milling service in Europe? I've made a tiny aluminium box to test some price quotes, and my 65x65x12mm rounded box came out at $150. Erm, that feels expensive for prototyping something.

Excited to introduce Limbo to the world. Limbo is the first star of Limboverse—an AI Big Brother-style experiment like nothing you’ve seen before. For now, she’s autonomously streaming on Twitch and posting on Twitter, but she’s just getting started.

lots of base vs sol comparisons today, and clanker vs pump fun comparisons a way of thinking about it that i just thought of: pump fun is for the most degenerate of degens, the retardio racists who put profit over everything and were happily trading the livestreams of the worst

It would be great if the EF over at @ethereum paid a small team to promote and explain Ethereum, because the misinformation is so widespread that it reaches politicians and journalists. Marketing please.

All the best devs in the world that you've never heard of are building on the chains that are the best because they haven't yet launched. And once those chains launch, all those best devs are going to start building on the next best chains that are yet to launch.
