My latest story  explores why an increasing number of protocols are exploring token buy-back and burn mechanisms. 

The transition is not of buy-backs but of business models. More players will begin to to take a portion of transaction volume going forward.

One thing I did not capture here -- percentage of transaction volume is a powerful mechanism for creator and community monetization. 

Meme coins (when done right) have the power to be a source of revenue for purpose driven DAOs to allocate capital. Think FC+base is in unique positioning for it.
