After listening to the E169, I feel bad for OpenAI employees. They are entering 2017 Uber level drama and now everyone seems to be waiting for the next mistake instead of the next innovation.

It's hard to tell. Internally, they've been describing the coup as "the blip" which seems like it's not a big deal. If they keep getting more critical coverage on their future actions, it will become a distraction.
