Its up to the builders to offer it. It is still part of the frame spec. But as we move more and more towards native wallets and Frames V2 — I'd expect it to happen even less since onchain minting without warps will be better UX.

If you connect to a malicious frame, can’t you still get drained?

If your point is that its more risky — sure. But I don't think that is convincing enough for most to move away from their hot wallets to a system where every onchain event is based on warps. And this would assume warps can be used for anything onchain, which is not the case. It is limited to what it can do and requires a lot of maintenance to support different contracts and methods.
