German government pays manufacturing companies to *not* automate processes in a factory. Instead, they are incentivized to hire people for the most mundane tasks that can be easily automated by a machine. That doesn't seems like a good long-term strategy.

Why would this be encouraged? We need to support people’s transition to new jobs. Not maintain them just because. 🤷🏽♂️
