China plans on continuing to invest in Mexico to help build a competitor to the Panama Canal. Chinese presence will continue to grow in Mexico, it won’t overshadow the US, but companies like BYD will build in Mexico to get into the US market and bypass tariffs. Likely Biden won’t do anything to stop it.
