I’m building my restaurant business with the idea of trying to sell it at some point in 5-7 years. Watching the news about Trump taking a shit on the country it’s hard to imagine the country being a peaceful place for that long. Evaluating my options

I feel like every change of admin it starts out as the extremes and we just end up in a similar place so I would stay positive and I think you’ll be fine. I have faith.

I never panic. But I do panic when bad things are happening. Like I bought a ton of supplies in December 2019 when everyone was telling me I was crazy. No one is gonna want to invest in a restaurant in a country where everything has been dismantled. Like safety nets are getting ripped apart. Those safety nets are vital for people’s sense of security. My customers are 30-70 yr old parents, and middle class people treating themselves. If you don’t have a sense of security and shit costs a lot of money. Cinnamon rolls and coffee are the last thing on your mind

I think this is an insane take. This presidency is wild. Like…. So far outside the norms, and utterly destructive. It is systematically dismantling America’s soft power and taking apart vital infrastructure. This is nothing like the start of the Biden admin. Like zero percent like it.
