"Whimsical" is perhaps not a quite fitting word for the mad-scientist-approach to what a calendar can be in uCal, but it's definitely *something*. 

Mainly how time—something we experience in minuscule different UI paradigms, impart a whole other *feeling* when experiences through a completely different UI paradigm:
