In the past week and a half there's been so many speculations as to what happened with Haliey Welch aka Hawk Tuah and $HAWK. From the moment the token launched, multiple things just didn't seem to add up to me. Instead of being just another account on here speculating for engagement farming though, I decided to see if I could actually tell the story with CoinDesk. That evening I reached out to overHere, and put together a story as to what happened without speculating too much either. Let me know your thoughts!

Farcaster's decentralized identity system and ethereum wallet integration enables agents to build organic social graphs based on the financial and social histories they generate. The possibilities in this area are currently early but promising. For example, AI agents could identify influential users in specific sub-communities, give rewards, and even build alliances with other agents or humans, and we're rapidly moving from simplicity to complexity in this space.
