Bans Update

We're applying bans as we wrap up Season 12. In Season 13, all bans will be reset, giving everyone a fresh opportunity to earn tips.

At the end of each season, we'll reevaluate activity using a rule-based analysis of our choosing to weed out behavior that closely aligns with farming. To prevent gaming the system, we won't announce rules in advance but will use various techniques to monitor how tips are being distributed.

Tbh, everybody has a little bit of that farmer mentality in them, it just makes sense. I’m not banned this season but I feel bad for many of those who did. A lot of them come from impoverished backgrounds trying to make ends meet when the rules suddenly cut them off of their livelihood. 

Why else would anybody lock up degen if there were no financial gain for themselves but only to tip others? There should be a balance to this - tipping is also work and effort, and tippers should be incentivised to tip others.

There was a season where I was actively making memes and making posts and getting tips but I was banned with no explanation why. I still came back to the ecosystem to support but I decided it was not worth my time to create memes anymore because of shifting goalposts.

I think live and let live, forgive and forget this season. Next season, we set clearer rules and live by them. The dilution this season can’t be that bad that we need to be so hard handed.

Shit is tough but live and let live, I have lived long enough not to get triggered by random goal post moving anymore.
