Trying to balance “all attention will be tokenized” with “I want to do good, sustainable work that makes sustainable money.” Struggling to reconcile the two.

@six if your tokenized attention thesis plays out to the max, then what? Feels like it we’d all be financially incentivized to just trade on attention alpha rather than building something meaningful.

I think it ends up being a “privilege” to play long term games, but still worth it Most value is still created by long term game players, a lot value is extracted by short term game winners (hedge funds etc and their future autonomous equivalents), and a lot of value is lost by short term game losers (often majority retail speculators/outsiders) Because short term trading games are still -EV i don’t think it necessarily ends up being everyone’s financial incentive, but if inequality continues to rise then ppl may increasingly feel it’s the only accessible path to economic mobility

This is a great way to summarize my thoughts on the crypto industry so far, lot of people trading attention and pivoting to the hot thing rather than doubling down with conviction on the not hot thing
