words that have lost meaning from imprecise use and overuse in crypto:

cabal, scam, grift, rug, memecoin

There’s an essay (a book?) to be written about how the volume of writing and the speed of production on the internet has made *all* language more imprecise. 

So much of communication today has nothing to do with the meaning of words themselves, but of the things *around* the words: emojis, caps, context, etc.

I’ve been the first to criticize crypto’s imprecise use of jargon, but I’m realizing it’s not limited to crypto. 

The internet has fundamentally changed the nature of language. We understand through osmosis, through vibes, and words contribute to those vibes. But they’re not the end all be all.
