Need you help /boston I've got a cousin moving to Boston for education, U Mass Boston specifically. I'm trying to help her find housing that is affordable, safe, and accessible to the university. Any suggestions?

Umass Boston campus is way out… like near Dorcester and Savin Hill. Rough spots for sure. She should get ready for a commute, I wouldn’t want to live near that campus.

Agreed, I’d avoid certain pockets of Dorchester if you are new to the area. Andrew Square in Southie is on the redline — just a few stops from JFK/UMass. Reasonable prices and a decent neighborhood.
