I agree with this take, the approach they can take is to decentralize rewards at some point, so those who are not under US law can still distribute, e.g. maybe it's the case with $degen cc: @v @jacek

What makes Warpcast different from Twitter? Supposedly, decentralization—but in reality, it doesn’t exist since they still know where you live, where you log in from, etc. We’re supposed to be disconnected from the oppressive and controlling system, but that’s just the narrative. The reality is that it’s just another Twitter with a CEO that happens to use the blockchain.

I do agree, and in reality they realised it's not much of decentralisation which makes you stand out, but ability to make onchain operations in social feed. (maybe in future when it becomes really popular someone will create a different client outside of US, Coinbase will follow similar legal framework). Having said that, X can introduce embedded wallet any day, and basically support the same. However, building mini-apps is easier with social graph on top of Farcaster, as it's verifiable.
