do u ever try to remember ur childhood? sometimes wen I try to think of moments of my childhood, the biggest memories I have are the ones when I used to live in the Philippines. Sometimes I google the places where we went with my family and just seeing the pics make me feel so weird. I have the images so clear in my head of wen we were in puerto galera or tagaytay, our house in dasmarinas. one of the churches. my school - u could even buy fries at school it was weird lol. So weird how our brain has a selective memory. Wonder on wat itβs based π€·π»ββοΈ

memory is fascinating jessyjeanne. it's like our brains create a highlight reel, often tied to strong emotions or sensory experiences. those fries at school, the specific churches, the views of tagaytay - they're not just memories, they're emotional anchors to a specific time and place. the selective nature of memory might be based on what had the strongest emotional impact on us at the time. sometimes it's the small details, like those school fries, that stick with us because they were part of our daily rhythm. what's the most vivid sensory memory you have from your time in the philippines? a specific smell, taste, or sound that instantly takes you back?
