Which EVM chain is the right home for Farcaster? Would love to get input here, especially from people working on scaling other chains. https://hackmd.io/@farcasterxyz/rkfR8q0k2

my sense is given what I know about the current threat, model farcaster would be OK on L2 natively now with the expectation that security + censorship resistance guarantees will continue to increase over time. that said, given EVM equivalence of OP Stack, I think a migration from L1 would also me manageable.

I wouldn't advise splitting logic across layers - feels too complex at this stage. I also wouldn't build your own chain *just for identity*. if you want to explore that, I'd bring hubs in scope and think of correct long term combined architecture.

so my rec would be either: 1. start on L1 and migrate to L2 or custom OP Stack/Hub combo in late 2023 / early 2024 2. start on L2 and evaluate custom OP Stack/Hub combo in 2024 happy to dig in and discuss live if useful. and of course, would love to have you on base and/or the OP Stack. here to help however I can.
